PONIES OF THE SADDLEBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES

This isn't a seapony, it's a mermare!
I was originally going to draw a seapony underwater, but then put a fin on it and went 'hey, let's do a homage to PotC'. So...yeah. It's a trap.

Mermares are known to lure hapless young sailors with their beauty and singing, and then drag them down into the ocean to be drowned and eaten.

...In Bizarro!Equestria, mermares were almost hunted to extinction for their valuable bones, but hunting stopped after the influx of bones exceeded demand and the price dropped. During the Unicorn Purges the merponies were blacklisted for being 'a crime against nature'.
Not sure if they would exist in canon!Equestria since evil merponies probably don't fit the setting.

I drew the hair like that as it was meant to be underwater originally, but kept it for the 'arcane' feel.
